Overview:

Emotional Intelligence is not a new field of study, but it really took off in 1995 after Daniel Goldman wrote the book: “Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More than IQ”. Since that time, psychometric tools such as the EQ-i 2.0 were developed and refined over time to assess and measure an individual’s “emotional intelligence”. The most widely used assessment tool in the world to test Emotional Intelligence is the Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 or EQi 2.0® tool.

Emotional Intelligence has a direct correlation to career success, and is defined as “the set of emotional and social skills that influence how we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in a meaningful way.” Gaining an understanding of these skills, including strengths and weaknesses can help an individual leverage additional success in relationships, conflict resolution, and potentially career success.”

Learning Objectives:

Completing the EQ-i 2.0® Assessment will give the client a report of their unique, confidential EQ scored results. The assessment is verified and statistically sound and has been reviewed so it is an approved psychometric assessment that can only be delivered by a trained certified EQ-i 2.0® coach. The EQ-i 2.0 features one overarching EI score, broken down into five composite scores which, in turn, are broken down into a total of 15 subscales. The main composite scales including: Self-Perception, Self-Expression, Interpersonal Skills, Decision Making, and Stress Management. Gaining insight into these areas may help a client leverage strengths or work on other weaker areas as EQ can be improved over your time.

After completing the assessment, there will also be a confidential 1-hour debrief with your certified EQ-i 2.0® certified coach. The debrief will include a review of the EQ-i 2.0® results, answer client questions and possibly assist the client with an action plan to improve any of the scores on their assessment.

Content:

  • Clients will be asked to complete an EQ-i 2.0® questionnaire consisting of 133 questions
  • Clients are sent a confidential report which includes a full overview of their EQ scores.
  • Schedule a 1 hour confidential debrief with a certified EQ-i 2.0® Coach to review results
  • Post Assessment follow up if requested to review goals an action plan
