    Overview: 

    In this course designed for CPAs, you will gain a deeper understanding of Generative AI and its practical applications in our profession. Through engaging in hands-on activities, this course will guide you on leveraging GenAI tools for data analysis and communication while also considering the risk mitigation needed to maintain professional, ethical standards. 

    This interactive course is designed for CPAs to help them understand how to leverage Generative AI platforms, including (not limited to) OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Microsoft Co-pilots. Offered now to align with the swift advancements in GenAI technology, the workshop provides an exciting opportunity to learn skills that will be invaluable immediately and in the future. You will engage with real-world examples, detailed analyses, and fresh insights into current challenges, ensuring they are well-prepared to leverage AI effectively. This hands-on approach and practical case studies will provide a comprehensive understanding of Gen AI’s impact on the CPA profession.

     

    Course Content:

    In this course, you will gain knowledge about the following topics:

    • Applying generally accepted prompting guidelines to GenAI platforms 
    • Applying GenAI tools to numerical data sets for data analysis 
    • Applying GenAI tools for communication, such as report writing and emails 
    • Designing and creating GPTs (Open AI) 
    • Applying risk mitigation procedures in using GenAI platforms

     

    Learning Objectives:

    Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

    • Identify different branches of AI 
    • Differentiate between artificial general intelligence (AGI) and artificial narrow intelligence (ANI) 
    • Define machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI 
    • Define GPT 
    • Define prompts 
    • Compose a decision process on how and when to use generative AI 
    • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats by using generative  
    • Identify the ways CPAs use generative AI tools 
    • Debate the ways CPAs can use generative AI tools  
    • Design prompts in GenAI software (ChatGPT, Co-pilot)  
    • Examine current cases of generative AI used by professionals 
    • Identify professional and ethical risks in using generative AI
