    Overview:

    This course is designed to give you an insight into how Pivot Tables can be used to compile a dashboard from a dataset. You will be able to create Pivot charts and learn how to make it interactive with the underlying Pivot Tables and data extracted from Pivot Tables.

    Special Instructions:

    This is a hands-on course and to be able to follow along, you will need access to your laptop computer with a working copy of Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel for PC, Version 2013 OR Version 2016/Office 365 will be used in the demonstration of techniques of this workshop. You may use older versions with some loss of functionality. Starter Edition will NOT be adequate for this course.

     

     

     

     

    Course Content:

    In this course, you will gain knowledge about the following topics:

    • A quick revision on Pivot Table options – GetPivotData, and Field Options
    • Working with Slicers and multiple Pivot Tables
    • Setting up Dashboard data from Pivot Tables
    • Creating appropriate Pivot Charts and a Dashboard
    • Including Non-Pivot Data into a Dashboard
    • Exploring more Pivot Table options if time available

     

    Learning Objectives:

    Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

    • Learn some Pivot Table tips in interacting with Chart displays
    • Understand how multiple Pivot Tables can work with the same dataset
    • How to make Pivot Charts that resemble regular charts
    • Create Slicers to work with Pivot Charts
