Excel Charts for Finance Professionals

Overview:

This on-demand course is designed to give the viewer an overview of some of the recently introduced chart types in Office 365 and Office 2016. The workshop goes into some detail on interpretation of some of the charts and their background, and will go into a demonstration on how to construct these charts from spreadsheet data. Practice data is supplied to try out the examples. 

Course Content:

In this course, you will gain knowledge about the following topics:  

• Exploring new Chart types and their uses Waterfall charts – for financial flows 
• Treemap charts – for breakdown of costs 
• Sunburst charts – for showing relationships 
• Pareto charts and histograms 
• Understanding how to use Map charts and 3D Maps 
• Introducing chart templates for reusing often-used charts 
• Introducing other chart improvements from version 2013+ Label ranges and their use in XY charts 
• Callouts and other enhancements

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

• Learn new chart types introduced in later versions of Excel and some of their uses in a Finance Management context 
• Learn how to create these new chart types 
• Learn the enhancements introduced to existing charting capabilities in later versions of Excel
