    Overview:

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility that extends beyond technology. As cyber threats become more frequent and sophisticated, organizations need employees and leaders who can recognize risks, think critically, and respond appropriately. Presented in accessible, non-technical language, this course explores today’s cyber threat landscape and provides practical strategies for building cybersecurity awareness into everyday work. You will learn how to strengthen vigilance, support a culture of security, and help protect their organizations, colleagues, and personal information.

Cybercrime continues to evolve in scale and complexity, creating new challenges for organizations and individuals alike. Advances in artificial intelligence and digital technologies have increased both the opportunities and risks facing today’s workplaces, making ongoing awareness and critical thinking more important than ever.

Delivered by Steve Prentice, a cybersecurity consultant who advises organizations around the world, this course provides practical, real-world insights into cyber risk management. You will gain a greater understanding of how cybersecurity supports business operations, regulatory compliance, insurance requirements, and the safety of employees and customers.

    Course Content:

The course not only talks about the types of crime that exists but also about skills such as critical thinking, metacognition (awareness of one’s own activities) and lifelong learning as methods to keep companies safe.

    Learning Objectives:

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

    • Schedule proactive cybersecurity practices as part of their daily work routines
    • Apply critical thinking skills to identify and assess potential cyber threats, including deepfakes, spear phishing, social engineering, and the risks associated with using generative AI tools that may create privacy or compliance concerns
    • Take practical steps to help protect themselves, their teams, and their families from the potentially serious consequences of cybercrime

    Who Will Benefit:

This course is designed for employees, managers, and organizational leaders. Organizations will benefit most when participants from across teams attend together, helping to foster a shared understanding of cybersecurity risks and build a stronger culture of security and accountability.
