    This course explores the implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the accounting profession.  

    • When can you recognize AI as an asset on the balance sheet 
    • How to you measure/ revalue the AI asset?  
    • How can you verify that AI is providing a reliable answer?  
    • What are the ethical and legal issues when employing AI within the profession?  
    • How does AI fit into the risk and control framework of corporate governance?  
    • What regulatory enhancements can we expect to see in the future to address the unique challenges of AI?  

     

    Learning Objectives:

    Upon completing this course, you should be able to:

    • Identify how the accountant’s role is changing with the introduction of AI 
    • Incorporate AI into the corporate governance, financial reporting and audit functions  
    • Avoid some of the pitfalls of AI such as copyright infringement
